The Madam Carroll is arguably one of the most unique event locations in the Midwest for weddings, receptions, proms, corporate and special events. She is the largest boat in the state of Indiana with a cruising capacity of 500 guests, across all 3 decks on the vessel.
The boat offers your event a large stage and dance floor to host live entertainment, climate controlled facilities, a full bar, and enough space to cater meals for your guests – and that’s just the 1st deck! 1st deck seats 200+ guests at tables for an event.

Private Events Cruising on the Lake
Private charters are available for cruises lasting between 3 to 6 hours based on the needs of your class reunion, corporate celebration or other special event. Reservations are now being taken for the coming season as the Madam Carroll will be operating for private events year-round. We recommend selecting an event date early! Rates for Private Charters
Private charters on the Madam Carroll begin at $3,000.00 for a 3 hour excursion and are only available in good weather conditions Spring through Fall. A 3 hour trip allows the boat to cruise from the dock to the other end of Lake Freeman and back. This rate includes set up and an hour of boarding time, prior to your cruise.
Catering and Meal Service
The Madam Carroll does not have catering facilities, but the venue is certainly equipped to handle outside catering for your special event. You may elect to bring your own food onto the vessel, or select a caterer of your choice.
While the choice of caterer is yours, we recommend utilizing Oak and Barrel for your event. Their team has years of experience and a robust understanding of the challenges that come with serving guests on board a water vessel. Cocktail and Bar Options
The Madam Carroll has a full service bar and wait staff. During a private charter, we can operate as a cash bar, where your guests would pay for drinks as they go or we can operate as an open bar where the balance is paid by one individual following the cruise. We can also manage drink tickets for purchases at the bar on all private charters. We have the facilities to take cash, Apply pay, and all major credit cards on board the vessel.

Throughout the year, the Madam Carroll hosts a number of fundraising opportunities. By chartering the boat, your organization can sell tickets to a specific event that you host. We can assist by building a marketing event through our website linking to where your tickets are sold electronically.

Private Events Staying Dockside
In the off season when the Madam Carroll isn’t cruising, she is available for private dockside events on Saturdays and Sundays. The main cabin of the vessel, The Luse Lounge, is climate controlled and has adequate seating for up to 200+ guests making it perhaps the most unique venue in Indiana for holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries and more!
Rates for Dockside Rental
Dockside event rental pricing starts at $1,000 and is conditional on the type of event and time of year. A minimum bar tab will be built into the pricing.
