Loving Heart Animal Shelter along with the Madam Carroll are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Doggie Paddle Cruise. Join us for a fun-filled Fundraising Event, wagging your tail to music played by DJ Wendell Ferguson on the largest boat in the state. Enjoy the evening under the stars cruising around Lake Freeman on the 2nd or 3rd deck of the boat! There will be a great selection of Raffle Baskets, Door Prizes and a 50/50 drawing! So be sure to bring some extra cash to purchase raffle tickets, buy an exclusive Doggie Paddle Cruise t-shirt and to purchase drinks from the full bar! Food will also be provided and is included in the price of admission! The Loving Heart Animal Shelter is a 501 (c) 3, Non-Profit organization. Your sponsorship, admission and raffle tickets help the rescued cats and dogs in our area live their best lives while awaiting their new home. Thank you for helping us to continue our mission! We look forward to seeing you at the event! Please note, this is a 21 and over event.

Regarding Inclement Weather:
The Madam Carroll cruises rain or shine. However, it is the sole discretion of this vessels captain and ownership to determine if inclement weather could create hazardous conditions in which case the ship will remain at dock and this event will continue as scheduled.
Regarding Lake Levels:
After nearly 100 years of keeping Lake Freeman and Lake Schafer level, the US Fish and Wildlife Department intervened and mandated that the water flow leaving the Oakdale Dam be maintained to a specific cubic foot per second to protect an endangered mussel species below the dam on the river. In times of drought, the water levels in Lake Freeman are dropped to maintain constant river flows below the dam. In this event, it becomes unsafe for the vessel to cruise. If this is the case, the ship will remain at dock and this event will continue as scheduled. You can learn more about this erroneous calculation on behalf of the US Fish and Wildlife Department and how you can help the Madam Carroll continue her operation in this article.
